PERMANENT STAFF
General Manager Rick Conine is starting his third season with Harris Bay Yacht Club. Rick graduated from Queensbury High School before joining the military in 1976. After 6 years in the Air Force, Rick served 6 years in the Coast Guard working from the rank of Seaman to Boatswain's Mate 1st Class. Rick learned boat handling at Coast Guard stations Cape Cod Canal, MA, Coast Guard Station Milford Haven, VA, and on the Coast Guard cutter Cape Corwin, Maui, HI. Rick's last duty station was Coast Guard Group Buffalo, NY where he was a Search and Rescue Coordinator for the eastern half of Lake Erie, all of Lake Ontario and the western half of the Saint Lawrence Seaway. While stationed at Cape Cod Canal, he met his wife of 23 years, Jeanette (Jaye).
After the Coast Guard, Rick joined the Wisconsin State Patrol and moved back to Jaye's hometown in Wisconsin. Rick spent 16 years as a Wisconsin State Trooper before retiring and moving back to Queensbury. During those 16 years, Rick was active in the community as a volunteer fire fighter and held the position of President of the fire company for 4 years. He also was elected twice to the Westfield, WI School Board.
In 2009 Rick received the Carnegie Hero Fund Award. This award was presented to Rick and Josh Mattison for rescuing a fisherman who fell through the ice near the Family Islands in April of 2008. www.carnegiehero.org
Rick and Jaye live in Queensbury with their daughter, Kati, and a son, Ben.

Donna Ure is starting her second season here at Harris Bay Yacht Club. Donna holds a degree in Marketing Arts and Design from Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. Donna was with Comcast Cable in Union NJ, for 15 years. Donna brings this experience in office systems to Harris Bay Yacht Club, this makes her very valued asset..
Donna and her husband Dean have two boys and live in Lake George.

Gerald (Jerry ) Schmidt is starting his 10th season with Harris Bay Yacht Club. Jerry oversees the facilites and the movement of the boats throughout the yard. Jerry’s indepth knowledge of the facility systems, equipment and member's boats, along with his attention to detail and drive to provide the very best service to the Club make him one of the club’s most prized assets.
Jerry and his wife Leigh live in Greenfield Center.

Josh Mattison is starting his fourth season with Harris Bay Yacht Club. Josh is Jerry’s right hand man. Josh’s knowledge of the club’s systems and his ability to operate our unique equipment make Josh a valuable asset to Harrris Bay Yacht Club. Josh was born and raised just down the road in Fort Ann.
